The RE56201 Echinococcus IgG ELISA from Tecan US, Inc. is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed for the qualitative detection of IgG antibodies against Echinococcus species in human serum or plasma. This kit is intended for use as an aid in the diagnosis of echinococcosis (hydatid disease). The assay utilizes microplate wells coated with Echinococcus antigens, and detection is achieved through a colorimetric reaction measured spectrophotometrically. The kit includes all necessary reagents and controls for performing the assay, and is validated for use on Tecan's automated ELISA platforms as well as for manual processing.
