Tektronix Installed Option; De-embedding and Embedding Software
The Tektronix 5-SIM is a software option for the 5 Series MSO Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes. This option enables advanced signal integrity analysis by providing de-embedding and embedding capabilities. With 5-SIM, users can remove the effects of test fixtures, cables, or probes from their measurements, or simulate the impact of specific interconnects and components. The software supports S-parameter files and allows users to apply custom models to their measurement setup, improving the accuracy of high-speed signal analysis. 5-SIM is designed to help engineers characterize and debug high-speed serial designs by compensating for signal path distortions, ensuring more precise and reliable measurement results.
